45-minute lessons: This is the amount of time I most highly recommend for most students. In my experience, 30 minutes is just a little bit too short to usually cover all the material thoroughly and allow students ample time for sight reading practice and theory work. This is why I most highly recommend a 45-minute lesson.
30-minute lessons: 30-minute lessons are the most traditional. A lot can be accomplished in a 30-minute lesson, but usually students will need to do their theory work and some sight-reading at home.
60-minute lessons: I recommend a 60-minute lesson for the serious student of music. With a 60-minute lesson, we can go into a lot more theory depth, we can practice more scales and finger dexterity drills, and we can spend a lot more time perfecting each song the student learns.
Monthly group lesson: Once a month the usual lesson is replaced by a group lesson. A group lesson lasts for 1 hour and 15 minutes. It is still the same price as the other lessons, despite the longer time. The group lesson usually involves 4 - 6 students, and gives each student a chance to perform for the group and participate in other group piano activities.
